What your typical day looks like:

* Assess patients from 0+ years, addressing both physical and mental health symptoms, and provide evidence-based advice using NHS Pathways or other clinical decision support systems. Assist a diverse range of patients, ensuring they receive appropriate care in a timely manner. Offer guidance and support to patients, and where appropriate guide patients across primary, secondary, and tertiary care services.
* Collaborate effectively within a compassionate and professional clinical team. Maintain accurate patient records ensuring a professional and empathetic approach is given to all calls

Purpose of the Role

As a Clinical Advisor, you'll provide safe, effective telephone triage for patients calling NHS 111, using the NHS Pathways system. You'll assess a wide range of symptoms, offer evidence-based advice, and direct patients to the appropriate level of care. Working within a supportive multi-disciplinary team, you'll help ensure high-quality patient outcomes and uphold the values of compassion, respect, and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities
* Conduct telephone triage for patients of all ages with physical and mental health concerns
* Use NHS Pathways to guide clinical assessments and decisions
* Support Health Advisors with clinical advice
* Promote appropriate use of NHS and emergency services
* Maintain accurate patient records and deliver patient-centred care
* Contribute to clinical governance, quality improvement, and professional development
What Were Looking For
* Registered Nurse, Paramedic, or Pharmacist (NMC/HCPC/GPhC)
* Minimum 2 years post-registration clinical experience
* Strong communication, decision-making and IT skills
* Ability to work independently and under pressure
* Willingness to work unsocial hours, including evenings and weekend
Desirable
* Experience in telephone triage or primary care
* Coaching/mentoring experience
* Knowledge of local healthcare services
