Team Leadership: Coordinate and mentor a team of Learning Support Assistants to ensure a seamless and safe learning environment. Holistic Assessment: Utilise formative and summative tools to track progress against individual EHCP objectives, ensuring every small win is celebrated and documented. Subject Advocacy: Act as the lead specialist for PMLD within the section, driving the adoption of assistive technologies and innovative sensory resources Student Stewardship: Manage the full student lifecycle from initial interview and induction to preparing them for their next stage of life or employability Requirements: Qualifications: You hold a Level 5 teaching qualification (or are prepared to work toward one) and ideally possess a degree-level specialisation in SEN. Practitioner Excellence: You have a proven track record of supporting students with ASD, SLD, and PMLD, preferably within a Further Education setting. Communication Mastery: You are proficient in (or eager to master) specialised communication frameworks like Makaton, PECS, or Total Communication.
