Job Title: Security Officer
Join Our Team as a Security Officer!
We're looking for an enthusiastic Security Officer to join our dedicated team at the Colchester Campus. This is an exciting opportunity to maintain a safe, welcoming, and well-managed environment for our students, staff, and visitors.
As a visible and supportive presence on campus, you'll represent the College professionally and help foster a positive, disciplined culture among our learners. If you hold a current SIA licence and have relevant experience, we’d love to hear from you!
This is a term-time only position, ideal for someone eager to make a real impact in an educational setting.
Essential Qualifications:
* Minimum Level 2 qualification in English and Mathematics, such as:
* GCSE Grade 4 (C) or above
* CSE Level 1
* O-Level Grade C or above
* Level 2 Adult Numeracy or Literacy
* Or an equivalent qualification
Essential Experience:
* Experience resolving conflicts calmly and supportively
* Previous experience in a security role
* Skilled in de-escalation techniques
* Ability to work collaboratively within a Facilities team
