Main Responsibilities
As a Press Shop Team Leader, you will oversee day-to-day operations within our press shop. The role involves both hands-on press operation and leadership responsibilities. You will ensure safety, quality, and productivity targets are met while leading and supporting a team of press operators to achieve operational goals.
Accountabilities include:
* Leadership Responsibilities:
o Lead a team of press shop operatives, providing guidance, support, and on-the-job training.
o Organise daily workload and ensure production schedules are met.
o Conduct start-of-shift briefings and end-of-shift handovers.
o Monitor team performance and report issues to the senior supervisor.
o Act as the first point of contact for press shop issues and escalate when necessary.
o Support continuous improvement and 5S activities on the shop floor.
o Maintain safety, quality, and housekeeping standards across the team.
* Operational Duties (Hands-On):
o Operate all equipment and machinery responsibly following work instructions and SOPs.
o Achieve product, process, and customer quality standards through awareness and application of quality processes.
o Complete production documentation accurately and timely.
o Perform first-line maintenance of equipment to ensure effective operation.
What you will bring
* Proven experience working in a press shop environment.
* Strong understanding of press operation, die setting, and safety procedures.
* Previous leadership or team lead experience preferred.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* PUWER Power Press Trained.
