This occupation is found in a wide range of organisations, including but not limited to chemical, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, formulated products, nuclear companies, analytical science services, dental laboratories, and educational establishments. The broad purpose of the occupation is working at the forefront of technology to carry out routine and one-off laboratory testing (and manufacturing where relevant) and perform various technical support functions across the organisation.
The core knowledge, skills, and behaviours you'll develop on the course:
* Work safely in a laboratory, maintaining excellent housekeeping whilst following appropriate safety, environment, and risk management systems.
* Follow quality procedures to meet relevant quality standards.
* Prepare for laboratory tasks using appropriate scientific techniques, procedures, and methods.
* Perform laboratory tasks following specified methodologies, such as Standard Operating Procedures.
