Were looking for a hands-on, practical person to build and pack wooden cases for all kinds of equipment. You'll help make sure everything is properly protected and clearly labelled for transport from small parts to large machinery, based in Avonmouth, you'll be joining our client on a Permanent basis.
Hourly rate £12.33 to £14.26, depending on experience

Experience & Training Needed: Were looking for someone with hands-on experience and the right training to hit the ground running:
Previous experience in export packing and case making
Confident handling heavy, delicate, or high-value equipment
Experience using power tools safely and efficiently
Up-to-date training in:
Safe use of saws
Safe use of nail guns
B1 & B2 Counterbalance forklift (up to 15-tonne capacity)
Air Cargo Security (minimum COS level)
Other Things to Know: Early starts, late finishes, and occasional weekend work may be required
Some travel including overnight stays and international trips could be part of the role

What Youll Be Doing: Building strong wooden cases with the right support and bracing
Carefully packing items to protect them during transport, storage, and handling
Using foam, bubble wrap, foil bags, and straps to keep items safe
Securing machines to bases and locking them in place with brackets
Adding shock and tilt indicators to cases
Marking cases clearly with lifting points, weight balance, and this way up labels
Highlighting any special handling needs like temperature control
Ensuring all timber is correctly stamped if heat-treated
Keeping your tools clean and reporting any damage
Working in a tidy, safe, and organised way
Following airline security and safety rules
Working with the team to meet daily deadlines
Helping move machinery when needed
Pitching in with other tasks to support the tea
