Renewables Electrician (Preston)
Location: 45 minutes travel from Preston
Salary: £40,000 FTE plus a generous bonus scheme and benefits
Hours: Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week

Eco2Solar is pleased to announce an opportunity to join the UK’s largest solar PV installer. The role involves installing EV chargers, Solar PV systems, battery storage, and innovative products for new build housing developers to meet carbon reduction targets.
The role of the Renewables Electrician offers the right candidate an opportunity to build, develop, and grow their career with a highly reputable and growing company. It keeps you ahead of the latest technology while working with the UK’s largest new build solar installer, in partnership with EON.
Working in a safe and controlled environment, you will install renewable energy systems for new build housing developers with the mission of achieving the highest standard of quality, safety, and customer service in low‑carbon electrical installations.
Responsibilities
* Safe and efficient installation of PV systems (inverters and generation meters)
* Accurate and timely submission of paperwork
* Compliance with MCS and Health, Safety and Quality standards
* Daily site‑based work with travel, including overnight stays as required
* Attention to detail and problem‑solving skills, using Apps for certifications and reports
* Work both as part of a team and independently, managing workload and delivering excellent service
About you
Previous experience in solar installations and/or domestic new builds is required.
* 18th Edition electrical qualifications (BS7671)
* N/SVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (Building and Structures) OR a completed apprenticeship with AM2
It would be helpful but not essential if you have:
* Solar certification (BPEC or City & Guilds) Level 3 Award in the Installation of Small‑Scale PV Systems
* CSCS/ECS Card for site works
* Testing and Inspection 2391‑52
* Experience in 3‑phase installations
