Our client, a highly regarded national law firm, is looking to recruit a NQ-5 PQE Solicitor to join theirplex Claims Insurance team. This role offers the opportunity to work within a supportive, collaborative environment handling a varied and interesting caseload of Defendant Insurance matters, with a focus on Employers’ and Public Liability claims.
You will be trusted with a high level of responsibility, contributing to departmental growth while delivering high‑quality,mercially focused legal advice to insurer and corporate clients.
Your new role
Thisplex Injury Solicitor role will see you:
1. Managing and/or assisting on a varied caseload of Defendant Employers’ Liability and Public Liability claims, including injury, liability, contractual and indemnity issues.
2. Providing clear, practical written and verbal advice to clients and insurers
3. Drafting pleadings, witness statements and other key litigation documents
4. Conducting legal research and financial liability assessments
5. Representing clients at hearings or liaising with counsel where appropriate
6. Managing files efficiently to ensure profitability,pliance and achievement of KPI targets
7. Supporting colleagues and contributing positively to wider team objectives
8. Ensuringpliance with regulatory, procedural and internal business requirements
9. Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and departmental planning
10. Building strong client and stakeholder relationships and supporting business development activity
What you'll need to succeed
Essential:
11. Qualified Solicitor or CILEX Lawyer (NQ – 5 years PQE)
12. Strong, demonstrable experience of Employers’ Liability and Public Liability claims
13. Sound knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules and insurance litigation processes
14. Experience advisingmercial organisations and dealing directly with insurers
15. Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
16. Experience using legal case management systems ( Proclaim or similar)
17. Proven ability to manage a busy caseload, meet deadlines and achieve fee targets
18. A collaborative, values‑driven approach to working within a team
Desirable:
19. Experience handlingplex and/or high‑value claims
20. Involvement in business development or client relationship activity
