ROLE: M&A Analyst (Non-Financial Due Diligence)
LOCATION: Central Kent
SALARY: £35,000 – £45,000 DOE
THE COMPANY
We are currently recruiting for an M&A Analyst for a long-established investment and development group operating across both the property and construction sectors. With a strong track record in delivering residential-led schemes and a growing international presence, the business continues to expand through acquisitions, partnerships and strategic development opportunities.
As the group evolves, they are looking to strengthen their front-end decision-making with an M&A Analyst focused on the qualitative side of due diligence – supporting smarter investment and acquisition decisions.
This role will be an office based role Monday to Friday.
THE JOB
This is a strategic and research-driven M&A Analyst role, working closely with senior stakeholders and investment teams to assess potential acquisitions, development opportunities and joint ventures.
Unlike traditional M&A roles, this is not focused on financial modelling – instead, your role will be to uncover the risks, trends and reputational factors that numbers alone can’t show.
Key responsibilities include:
* Researching and profiling potential acquisition targets or partners
* Analysing company structure, track record, planning history and market position
* Tracking trends across the property and construction sectors
* Maintaining and updating a detailed risk register
* Producing insight reports, briefing notes and SWOTs to support decision-making
* Coordinating with planning, legal and development teams internally and externally
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
* Someone analytical, proactive and commercially aware.
* Ability to dive into complex information and pull together clear, risk-focused insights.
* Experience in qualitative research and due diligence (1–3 years+ desirable)
* Excellent written communication and reporting skills
* A naturally investigative mindset with strong attention to detail
* Confidence managing risk registers and working cross-functionally
