We have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical and Engineering Maintenance Manager to join the Water Service Delivery team at Yorkshire Water and be a part of helping Yorkshire Water to provide the best service to our customers. Could this be you?

Water Service Delivery are a key part of how we plan to meet the changing expectations of customers and regulators.
To manage and lead a team of Mechanical & Electrical roles providing Engineering Regulatory Compliance (proactive work) and risk management of unplanned work. Ensure delivery of all scheduled planned and reactive maintenance activities within required timescales and to the required standard through the performance management of the team and effective liaison with Central Control.

As our Mechanical and Engineering Maintenance Manager you will
* Coach and develop team members to build competence, capability, and productivity within the team.
* Drive productivity improvements through better work practices, technology adoption, and strong leadership.
* Supervise contractors on maintenance activities across operational sites, ensuring compliance with SHEQ standards.
* Manage incidents to minimize environmental and customer impact, ensuring swift restoration of clean and wastewater services.
* Lead performance management, setting clear expectations, recognizing achievements, and addressing underperformance.
* Ensure asset compliance with regulatory and quality standards, maximizing availability through engineering plans.
* Promote health and safety excellence, leading safety initiatives and ensuring adherence to policies and emergency plans.
* Maintain financial discipline, aligning decisions with business plans and proactively managing budgets and forecasts.
* Budget Management of P&L to drive EBITDA performance
What skills & qualifications you will need:
* Electrical, ICA or mechanical based apprenticeship or Engineering degree or equivalent. (ONC/HNC/BTEC in Electrical, ICA or mechanical Engineering)or equivalent experience.
* Knowledge and understanding of asset management principles and processes.
* Previous experience in an Engineering/operational/strategic leadership role in a commercially orientated and / or regulated environment.
* Experience of H&S process and management systems including incident management and crisis response
* Experience of managing and leading a team with a proven track record of driving sustainable performance against challenging business targets.
* Experience of business planning, resource and budget management.
* Experience of leading and embedding change, able to influence and drive right culture and behaviours.
* Current and valid driving licence and ability to work flexible across the Yorkshire region.
