Production Team Leader Location: Leigh Salary: £34,852.18 per annum Shift: Continental Shift – 18:00 – 06:00 Join Our Team! We're looking for a motivated and hands-on Production Team Leader to coordinate and lead our production team in achieving safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing. As a Production Team Leader, you'll take ownership of daily production performance, ensuring that all tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality. Your main responsibilities will include: Leading and coordinating a team of 9 to meet production and quality targets Running and overseeing the frying room, ensuring quality and efficiency KPIs are achieved Achieving weekly output targets to maintain customer service levels Providing cover for the Team Leader, coordinating and motivating the team, and managing handovers between shifts Maintaining accurate paperwork and ensuring compliance with specifications and standards Managing raw material and packaging orders to keep the department fully serviced Working with engineering teams to maintain line efficiency and minimize downtime Supporting the Continuous Improvement (CI) programme and driving performance improvements Ensuring Health & Safety, hygiene, and housekeeping standards are consistently me What We're Looking For: We're seeking someone who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and can bring strong leadership and organisational skills to the role. You should: ✅ Be flexible and able to adapt to different roles as needed (essential) ✅ Be a strong team player with excellent communication skills (essential) ✅ Be organised, conscientious, and able to coordinate a small team (essential) ✅ Have experience in food manufacturing or production leadership (preferred) ✅ Be fully trained in all aspects of a packing room (preferred) ✅ Hold an electric truck licence (preferred) ✅ Have food hygiene experience (preferred) In This Role, You'll Also: Rotate and operate all frying room functions Organise and cover breaks to prevent line stoppages Carry out paperwork checks and countersign check sheets Participate in Health & Safety meetings, Daily Team Reviews (DTRs), and Short Interval Control (SIC) activities Collaborate with colleagues to enhance processes and support continuous improvement initiatives Why Join Us?
