Job Description: Job Title: Junior Interior Designer
Contract Type: Fixed-Term (2 Years)
Start Date: September 2025
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM (35 hours per week)
Holiday Entitlement: 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays
Location: Grassington, North Yorkshire (ability to travel independently required)
Role Overview:
We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Junior Interior Designer to join our team on a fixed-term basis. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with at least 2 years of post-graduate experience to contribute to a range of dynamic interior design projects. The ideal candidate will be passionate about interior architecture and design, highly organised, and confident in working both independently and collaboratively.
You’ll work closely with senior designers, clients, and suppliers, contributing to the design process from concept through to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in developing design concepts, mood boards, and presentations
Prepare and update technical drawings using AutoCAD
Source and specify FF&E and fabric suppliers, maintaining a strong understanding of current trends and products
Liaise professionally with clients and suppliers, obtaining quotes and coordinating sample requests
Support the project team in meeting deadlines and managing day-to-day tasks
Work on visual documentation using Adobe Photoshop and InDesign
Maintain accurate records using Microsoft Office Suite
Learn and support estimating processes, with training provided in Estimac / EstiPC if needed
Travel independently to project sites and supplier meetings as required
Skills & Experience Required:
Degree in Interior Architecture & Design or equivalent
Minimum 2 years of relevant industry experience
Proficiency in AutoCAD – with a portfolio showcasing work beyond university projects
Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign)
Confident use of Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with supplier sourcing, quoting, and purchasing
Excellent communication skills – professional and personable
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently
