Our client, is seeking new talent on a permanent basis. This key leadership role is integral to shaping the strategic direction of the town planning function within the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Developing and implementing strategic planning initiatives to support organisational objectives
2. Overseeing town planning projects from conception to completion
3. Managing a team of planning professionals and providing guidance and mentorship
4. Liaising with stakeholders, including local authorities, developers, and community groups
5. Ensuring compliance with relevant planning legislation and policies
6. Reviewing and approving planning applications and proposals
7. Representing the organisation at planning committee meetings and public inquiries
8. Building and maintaining strong client relationships to drive business growth
Job Requirements:
9. Extensive experience in town planning, with a strong understanding of planning legislation and processes
10. Proven track record in managing complex planning projects and teams
11. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
12. Ability to interpret and present complex planning data and proposals
13. Strong leadership qualities and the ability to inspire and motivate others
14. Relevant qualification in town planning or a related discipline
15. Membership in a recognised planning institution is desirable
