The successful candidate will supervise aircraft maintenance activities, ensuring high standards of safety, airworthiness, reliability, and operational performance are maintained at all times.The role will involve providing technical leadership, overseeing maintenance delivery, and supporting the ongoing development and competency of the wider engineering team.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise aircraft maintenance activities within a regulated aviation environmentReview operational performance of aircraft systems and componentsAnalyse and diagnose faults across aircraft and associated systemsSupport repairs, modifications, and maintenance improvements using technical expertiseEnsure maintenance schedules and operational targets are achievedResolve maintenance issues and escalate where requiredMaintain personal and team competencies for aircraft and component maintenance activitiesEnsure all work is carried out safely and in accordance with regulatory and company proceduresPromote high standards of workmanship, safety, and complianceDemonstrate flexibility and a proactive approach to operational requirementsEssential Skills & ExperiencePrevious supervisory or leadership experience within an aircraft maintenance environmentFully qualified technician with relevant maintenance authorities and certificationsStrong aircraft maintenance and fault diagnostic capabilityBroad aviation maintenance experience supported by current and recent logbook evidenceStrong understanding of aviation safety standards and safe systems of workAbility to work effectively within a safety-critical operational environmentStrong communication and team leadership skillsEligible to obtain and maintain BPSS and SC Security ClearanceQualificationsCompletion of a recognised Engineering Apprenticeship, ideally in Aeronautical Engineering or military equivalentCity & Guilds 2675 or 2661 in Aeronautical Engineering & Maintenance, or equivalent qualificationStrong technical background supported by structured training and practical experienceWorking EnvironmentBased at RAF Valley, Isle of AngleseyMilitary aviation maintenance environmentStructured team supporting operational aircraft maintenance activitiesOpportunity to work within a highly skilled engineering and supervisory teamThis is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced aviation professional to step into a supervisory position supporting critical aircraft maintenance operations within a respected military aviation programme.TPBN1_UKTJ
