Overview
The main purpose of this role is to manage the Finance Accounting Team, which looks after the Trust's cash and banking systems. This is a vital role within the Trust as it manages the cash and banking transactions on a daily basis, making sure that the Trust holds adequate funds to pay salaries and suppliers on time. The successful applicant will manage a team of 4, manage the cash and banking transactions and post the relevant financial journals to Oracle which the Trust uses as its main financial system. The role will also involve reconciling the Balance Sheet control accounts on a monthly basis, and be responsible for signing these off. The role will also involve meeting with external auditors and supplying them with the information as per a request for the Trust cash transactions.
Responsibilities
* Manage the Finance Accounting Team (team of 4) and oversee cash and banking transactions.
* Post relevant financial journals to Oracle, the Trust's main financial system.
* Reconcile Balance Sheet control accounts on a monthly basis and sign them off.
* Meet with external auditors and supply requested information on Trust cash transactions.
* Manage the Cash Management module.
