Family Solicitor
1+ years post‑qualification experience (PQE) – Greater Manchester – Up to £60,000 (DOE).
The Role
The successful candidate will manage their own caseload of private family law matters, including divorce and finance, children matters and domestic abuse cases. The role involves a combination of privately funded and Legal Aid work; therefore experience using CCMS and a sound understanding of Legal Aid criteria will be important. Applicants should also be comfortable undertaking their own advocacy where appropriate. Ongoing support, guidance and training will be provided as part of the role. As the position involves travel to courts and other office locations, access to a vehicle for business use is essential.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate is a qualified Solicitor with previous experience managing private family law matters independently. You should be confident handling a varied caseload within a busy and client‑focused environment and possess strong organisational and communication skills. The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent attention to detail, good IT proficiency and the ability to work effectively as part of a supportive team. A professional yet approachable manner is essential, alongside a willingness to undertake advocacy and manage both Legal Aid and privately funded matters.
