Job Description

Minimum age is 21, will not accept candidates below 21.

As a support worker, you will work with people to find solutions to their problems. This may be helping to protect vulnerable people from harm or abuse or supporting people to live independently.

You will engage with young people, their families and others around them. You'll work with different groups of young people including:

* young people with mental health problems
* young offenders
* young people with alcohol, drug or other substance misuse problems
* refugees and asylum seekers
* young people who need to live apart from their families
* young people who are at risk of abuse or neglect.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Care and support of our young people

* Provide high-quality care and support to young people in line with their individual support plans and needs.
* Report any changes to a young person's needs, schedule or general circumstances to the appropriate person without delay.
* Promote a safe and nurturing environment, ensuring the physical, emotional, and social well-being of young people.
* Support young people in developing life skills such as personal hygiene, cooking, budgeting and maintaining a clean living space.
* Foster positive relationships and encourage young people's participation in social and recreational activities.
* Respond to young people's immediate needs, including crisis situations, behavioural challenges, or emotional support.

FLEXIBILITY

This job description is intended to provide a broad outline of the main responsibilities only. The post-holder is required to be flexible in developing their role in the agreement with their designated manager. In addition, they may be required by their manager to carry out any other duty commensurate with their banding and expertise. Working at any of the company's placements.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT

Minimum 1 year of experience in a healthcare role.

Experience of working alone.

Experience of working with one or more of the following - people with learning difficulties, challenging behaviour, autism and epilepsy and mental ill health.

Experience of working in a Support services environment with a person-centred approach.

Working Hours

* Flexible shifts, including long hours and sleep-ins.
* Day shifts: 8 AM – 11 PM
* Sleep-in shifts: 11 PM – 8 AM (paid at a set rate)
* Rotating schedule, including weekends and bank holidays.

Education and Qualifications / Desirable

NVQ Level 3

Driving License

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.21-£13.50 per hour
