An exceptional specialist school in Yeovil is recruiting a Classroom Teacher to support children and young people aged 4 to 18 with profound and multiple learning difficulties, severe learning difficulties, autism and communication needs.
This is a full-time permanent opportunity with an immediate start available.

About the Role
You will deliver engaging lessons designed around individual learning pathways while supporting pupils with complex educational and personal care needs.
Staff work closely with therapists, support assistants and families to provide holistic support and encourage independence.
The successful teacher will create motivating learning experiences that build confidence, communication and life skills.
Requirements
• Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent
• Minimum 6 months childcare experience supporting children with SEN
• Experience within SEND environments desirable
• ECTs welcome to apply
• Strong classroom management skills
• Compassionate and patient approach
• Ability to adapt learning creatively
• Confidence working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
