Wood is looking to recruit an experienced materials engineering specialist to work as part of a project management team to monitor and review the work of engineering contractors working on a major Middle East refinery and petrochemical development. The role will be based in Wood’s Reading office and engaged on a temporary (agency) basis.
1. Extensive experience, primarily in a contracting environment, working with materials selection, corrosion control, coatings and linings, cathodic protection, fabrication, welding, non-destructive examination and testing on FEED and EPC projects for the oil and gas, refinery and petrochemical industries
2. Experience of undertaking PMC work on oil and gas, refinery or petrochemical projects
3. Operations and Maintenance experience
4. Flexible attitude, with good written and verbal communication skills
5. Familiarity with relevant API, ASME, NACE and other international standards and publications
6. Computer literate within Microsoft
7. Right to work in the UK
