Background
An Audit office in Northern Ireland is recruiting Temporary Auditors to support audit work across a wide range of public sector bodies. They provide independent scrutiny to improve public services, promote accountability, and support effective financial management.
The organisation audits over 100 organisations, reporting findings to the Northern Ireland Assembly and helping drive public sector improvement.
Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality audits in line with NIAO standards
* Support audit planning and fieldwork
* Analyse evidence and draft clear findings
* Develop conclusions and recommendations
* Build effective working relationships
* Manage your workload to meet deadlines
* Maintain professional knowledge and development
Key Criteria
* Membership of a recognised professional accounting body (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA)
* Minimum 2 years’ post-qualification experience in external audit
* Right to work in the UK
