Thrive Group Bolton are looking for a reliable and hardworking Yard Operative to join our busy builders merchants team in Burnley. This is a customer-facing role, ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, helping customers and being part of a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Picking and packing customer orders (typically 50-100 products daily) Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently Assisting trade and public customers in the yard Answering telephone enquiries and taking customer orders Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised yard area Heavy lifting and manual handling throughout the day Supporting warehouse and counter staff when required What We're Looking For Strong work ethic and positive attitude Good communication and customer service skills Ability to work in a physically demanding role Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions Team player with good attention to detail Previous experience in a builders merchants, warehouse, or yard environment preferred but not essential Working hours will be Monday to Friday 7:30am-16:00 with 30 minutes unpaid lunch, this is a temporary position however, this could lead to long term for the right candidate.
