You will have autonomy to work within established processes and procedures but refer to others and are subject to supervision.

About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join an Asset Performance team in the UK’s biggest environmental organisation. We manage flood risk assets across the Thames area to ensure they protect our communities from the risk of flooding. As professional Asset Managers, you will be part of a team managing the whole life‑cycle of our flood risk management assets, i.e. planning, delivery, maintenance, decommissioning.
Responsibilities
* Guide, advise and support team members and others to ensure decisions are made on sound technical grounds, and comply with legislation and best practice.
* Produce work orders for internal field teams.
* Carry out Public Safety Assessments.
* Maintain and develop high‑quality asset data to inform future investment programmes.
* Perform site inspections, collecting, analysing and interpreting information to manage assets effectively.
* Work collaboratively with a mixture of office‑based and on‑site activities, including walking long distances and working in adverse weather conditions.
Qualifications & Experience
* Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills.
* Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite.
* Experience in data management, engineering or asset management within the environmental/water sector (recent graduates accepted).
* Valid Full UK manual driving licence.
* Willingness to work a full‑time role with occasional out‑of‑hours incident duty (Flood Incident Duty Officer).
