Our vision includes expanding operations throughout Cumbria, and we are urgently recruiting experienced Fibre Underground/Overhead Operatives to join our dynamic team.
Job Purpose:
The Fibre Overhead Operative will play a crucial role in our new operation delivery in the Cumbria region. This field-based role involves working as part of a team to install and maintain underground fibre optic networks, ensuring project targets are met and contributing to the success of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
* Installation and Maintenance:
o Perform underground fibre optic cable installations and maintenance across multiple sites in the Cumbria region.
o Ensure all work complies with industry standards and company policies.
* Site Operations:
o Work collaboratively with team members based out of Kendal and surrounding areas.
o Adapt to varying site locations and conditions, ensuring timely and efficient completion of tasks.
* Health and Safety:
o Adhere to health and safety regulations and guidelines at all times.
o Conduct risk assessments and ensure safe working practices on all sites.
* Equipment and Tools:
o Utilize appropriate tools and equipment for fibre installation and maintenance.
o Perform routine checks and maintenance of equipment to ensure optimal performance.
* Training and Development:
o Participate in training programs to gain necessary accreditations and enhance skills.
o Stay updated on industry advancements and company procedures.
Requirements:
* Mandatory:
o Full UK drivers license and personal transport to access various site locations.
o NRSWA - Signing, Lighting, and Guarding (SLG)
o S008 or N27
o SA001 & TETRA/LSS or IPAF 1b
o S007 or K8 & N28
o SA002 or SA006
o Desirable:
* Previous experience in fibre optic installations and Overhead operations.
* Strong understanding of health and safety regulations related to fibre installation.
