Consultant in Emergency Medicine

Full time or Part time (10 places, including up to 2 SPA). Salary Scale – £111,430 – £148,064 per annum pro rata.

Applicants who are not yet in receipt of a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration (CESR) are required to provide documentary evidence of eligibility to apply at the time of application (i.e. be within 6 months of CCT / CESR at time of interview).

Responsibilities
* Join the existing permanent medical staff team of 12 Emergency Medicine Consultants, 3 Emergency Medical Practitioners and 5 Specialty Doctors, providing senior clinical decision making and leadership to Forth Valley’s Emergency Department.
* Participate in the on‑site out of hours rota as part of normal job planned activity and share with the existing Consultants, the supervision and shop‑floor training of junior medical and nursing staff.
* Provide consultant support (remotely) to a nurse‑led Minor Injuries Unit at Stirling Community Hospital.
* Participate in the new Flow Navigation Hub (FNH) and Urgent Care Centre (UCC) as part of the organisation of acute unscheduled care, with potential job‑planned sessions within this new service.
* Deliver senior clinical care and maintain the highest standards of emergency medical care.
Qualifications
* Full GMC registration and licence to practise.
* Evidence of eligibility for CCT or CESR within 6 months of interview.
