Are you ready to embark on an exciting opportunity as a Procurement Category Specialist?
Our client, a leading organization, is seeking a motivated professional to join their team. This is a temporary, full-time position for 12-18 months, with the possibility of extension. You'll have the chance to collaborate with innovative individuals from around the world.
Your main responsibilities will include providing category support in areas such as Filled activity, Converting, and Pack Out. You will specialize in Converting & Pack Out Services, working with third-party manufacturers and hard goods. Your expertise will be vital in supplier consolidation, helping achieve cost savings and working capital goals. You will identify cost reduction opportunities and implement procurement best practices, minimizing product and process costs.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with external suppliers is essential. You will be the key contact for supplier selection, negotiations, and managing complex supplier relationships. Your strategic thinking and problem-solving skills will be crucial as you navigate dual-sourcing, negotiate contracts, and seek process improvements.
To succeed, you should have a solid procurement background, especially with contract manufacturers. Strong negotiation skills, project management experience, and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders are necessary. Financial acumen, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in analyzing business metrics will also contribute to your success.
Key qualifications include:
* Experience in Procurement, particularly with contract manufacturers
* Initiative and a proactive approach
* Project management experience
* Experience working with internal and external stakeholders on complex projects
* Financial literacy and business analytics skills
* Fluent English
* At least 5 years of procurement experience
* Experience in areas such as Direct materials, GFR, Converting, Assembly, or Kitting
* Strong negotiation and contracting skills
* Stakeholder and supplier management experience
* Experience in manufacturing organizations (preferred)
* Proficiency with SAP and Excel, including managing large data sets
Applicants must have a bachelor's degree or higher and at least 7 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, logistics, supply chain, engineering, or manufacturing.
