If you are a fast learner with excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, can demonstrate exceptional customer service, and are able to manage multiple responsibilities at once, this temporary, exciting and rewarding role could be ideal for you.
You will work as part of a busy Accommodation team, responding to email and telephone enquiries, administering room allocations, and supporting the Accommodation Office and its call centre during the UCAS Clearing process in August 2025.
One part-time and two full-time roles are available from 1 June 2025 until 31 October 2025; applicants must be able to work until 31 October 2025.
The full time hours are up to 35 hours per week, and the part time role will be for 17.5 hours per week, from 9am to 5pm. These will usually be completed Monday to Friday, though there will be occasions in July, August and October when you will be required to work weekends. This is a Timesheet role so hours will vary and are not guaranteed. Hourly rate £13.75.
As Clerical Assistant you will:

Manage multiple requests for information or dealing with several customers politely and professionally. Able to manage multiple interruptions to their work.
Be able to cope with difficult situations or dissatisfied people in person or on the telephone with patience and diplomacy.
Work both independently and also in a team environment in a busy office in a calm methodical manner with a commitment to accuracy and attention to detail. Needs to use own initiative, planning own workload deciding what is a priority.
You will receive full training to ensure that you are confident with all procedures, policies and software systems.
If you believe you have the skills, experience and availability we are looking for, we would welcome your application.
All applicants will be scored against their answers and shortlisted for interviews, which will take place in person from mid May.
