Overview
Our innovative Psychologically Informed Consultation and Training Team (PICT) supports the delivery of high quality care for individuals with difficulties associated with a diagnosis of Personality Disorder. The role is hybrid, with opportunities for online and in‑person work. The post holder will support staff in Berkshire Healthcare, local Primary Care Networks and key partner agencies across inpatient, outpatient, primary care and voluntary settings.
Responsibilities
* Provide expert clinical supervision, consultation and advice to individuals and teams working with people with difficulties associated with Personality Disorder.
* Deliver training and teaching to increase skills and confidence across the workforce, including NHS staff, Primary Care Networks, emergency services and the voluntary sector.
* Conduct expert clinical assessments, psychological formulation and evidence‑based interventions within the chosen specialism.
* Exercise clinical leadership, ensuring systematic provision of high‑quality psychological services to individuals and their families or carers.
* Governance: work autonomously within professional and local guidelines and policies and exercise responsibility for systematic governance of psychological practice.
* Utilise research and audit skills to inform service and policy development.
Qualifications
* Principal Clinical/Counselling Psychologist or Principal Psychotherapist.
* Post‑qualification training and clinical expertise in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Mentalisation‑Based Treatment (MBT) and/or Structured Clinical Management (SCM).
* Substantial record of working within multidisciplinary settings with people with complex needs and high risk presentations.
* Experience developing and delivering training, supervision and consultation to others to share skills and understanding.
* Demonstrated commitment to changing the culture around support for people with Personality Disorder and excitement for challenging work.
