A exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and dynamic Consultant(s) in Public Health to join the Aneurin Bevan Gwent Public Health Team. The Team forms part of Aneurin Bevan University Health Board, working under the leadership of the Executive Director of Public Health and Strategic Partnerships and covers the five counties of Blaenau Gwent, Caerphilly, Monmouthshire, Newport and Torfaen. Responsibilities
* Lead on a broad portfolio within public health, providing strategic oversight and driving impactful change on our priorities.
* Provide compassionate, dynamic leadership to a multidisciplinary team and support the delivery of high-quality public health services with local communities.
* Engage with senior leaders within the Health Board and with NHS Wales partners, including Public Health Wales, to drive the prevention agenda and health equity.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of the organisation’s public health strategy and work plan in collaboration with the Executive Director of Public Health and Strategic Partnerships.
* Work across all three domains of public health to address health inequities and the root causes of poor health.
Qualifications and Experience
* Applicants must be on the GMC/GDC Specialist Register/UK Public Health Register for Public Health Specialists.
* Consultant level applicants must be on the GMC Specialist Register (including via CESR/European Community Rights) or have a CCT/CESR(CP) date within 6 months of interview.
* Agenda for Change Band 9 for non-medical staff or equivalent.
