Element has an opportunity for a Lab Technician to join our rapidly expanding Connected Technologies business at our state-of-the-art laboratory in Surrey Hills, Guildford. As a member of our EMC Testing team, you will perform a variety of testing assignments to ensure cutting edge consumer electrical devices meet specific radio testing standards and are safe for manufactures to bring to market.
Key responsibilities include:
* Prepare material specimens for testing
* Perform tests as directed by customer specifications
* Operate under the supervision of a more senior test technician and/or a Department Manager
* Gather and record test data
* Construct and maintain various test fixtures and other laboratory equipment
* Working knowledge of laboratory safety
Requirements:
* HS diploma or GED certificate preferred. College or vocational school coursework welcomed
* 0-2 years' experience in a testing related field
* Basic understanding of testing concepts
* Possess computer skills.
* Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry a plus
