As a community Trust many of our roles require individuals to be able to drive to perform their duties. As such you will be asked to confirm you have a full UK driving licence where driving is a requirement of the role to be able to proceed with your application. With this in mind as part of the selection process for this position you will be asked to complete two other activities in addition to the competency-based interview that you will invited to. This extended selection process is designed to assess your management style and the specific details of the exercises will be given if you are successfully shortlisted.

* A masters degree level or equivalent experience, with high level analytical skills and the ability to translate vision into clear direction

* Extensive management experience at a senior manager level working in a multi-disciplinary organisation, managing large staff groups from diverse backgrounds, contributing to corporate goals and leading on specific service goals

* Experience of financial and budgetary control and interpreting and implementing legislation, regulations and national policy.

* A thorough in-depth understanding of health and social policy. As well as a clear and comprehensive understanding of clinical governance, risk and controls, assurance standards, mitigation and recovery

Knowledge and skills

Essential criteria
* A clear and in depth understanding of the modernisation agenda and the role that clinicians and professionals have within the NHS plan to influence service development and achievement of targets

* An effective leader and have sound communication skills in order to understand and communicate both verbally and in writing.
