Due to the retirement of the current postholder, we are seeking a confident, highly organised and self‑motivated individual with enthusiasm and drive to join us as Executive Assistant and HR Manager in January 2026.
Overview of the role:
The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience of the role of Executive Assistant, possess strong administrative skills and be able to organise/support meetings and produce high quality minutes. An effective communicator, you will have the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels, including parents/carers, staff, trustees and employer partners, maintaining a high level of confidentiality at all times. Outstanding time management and prioritisation skills are essential to ensure deadlines are met and you must be prepared to go the extra mile to support the academy’s vision of changing lives by developing the engineers and business leaders of the future. Whilst an HR qualification is not essential, you will need to either be working towards this or have recent experience working within an HR Team.
Key duties include, but are not limited to:
· Supporting and working alongside the Principal and the Senior Leadership Team in all aspects of academy life.
· Organising and minuting meetings.
· Organising/supporting visits and events and taking the lead on organising the annual Awards Evening.
· Proof reading all external communications.
· Maintaining relationships and communications with a wide range of stakeholders.
· Maintaining oversight of all academy policies.
· Managing and administering key aspects of the HR function, including line managing the HR Administrator.
· Liaising with the Clerk to the Trustees in relation to all aspects of governance.
