Position
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Pharmacy Technician Rotational based at University Hospital Crosshouse.
What You Will Do
You will participate in a rotational rota covering Dispensary, Distribution, Aseptic and Ward areas playing a key role in the supply of medicines and collaborate closely with the pharmacy team and the wider multidisciplinary team (MDT). You will support the training and development of members of the pharmacy team and benefit from the opportunity to enrol in the Vocational Foundation Programme. In addition, you will participate in supporting the provision of the department dispensary service undertaking your role as an Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician.
Knowledge, Training And/or Experience Required To Do The Job
You will possess Diploma/SQA National Certificate in Pharmacy Services or equivalent and be registered as a pharmacy technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council where you will undertake revalidation and maintain a portfolio of personal and professional development. You will have good communication skills and experience of working with Office 365. Experience in all areas of hospital pharmacy would be an advantage however full training will be provided.
Hours
Your role is part of a 37 hour week, with weekend, departmental and public holiday rotas. Pharmacy service is from 8am to 8pm in the CAU and will involve an extended hours rota, possibly over 7 days or an extended working day in accordance with AFC terms and conditions.
