Compliance Coordinator – Evri Premium

This is a critical role ensuring our operation is audit-ready, legally compliant, and aligned with DVSA, Operator Licence requirements, and company standards.
About the Role
As Compliance Coordinator, you will play a key role in protecting our operator licence and maintaining the highest standards across our fleet and driver compliance. You’ll work closely with operational teams, providing guidance, monitoring performance, and driving continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Fleet & Operator Licence Compliance
1. Support the site in maintaining full compliance with Operator Licence (O-Licence) requirements
2. Ensure all HGVs and vans are roadworthy, taxed, MOT compliant, and maintained to schedule
3. Coordinate preventative maintenance inspections (PMIs), servicing, and repairs
4. Oversee defect reporting processes, ensuring issues are resolved quickly and effectively
Driver Compliance & Controls
5. Maintain accurate driver records including licences, CPC, tachograph cards, and training
6. Conduct regular licence checks and ensure compliance with company policy
7. Monitor tachograph data, driver hours, and Working Time Directive (WTD) compliance
8. Support driver onboarding by ensuring all compliance checks are completed
Audit & Governance
9. Keep the site audit-ready for internal and external inspections (DVSA, compliance audits)
10. Maintain accurate and well-organised compliance records
11. Track, report, and escalate compliance risks, trends, and non-conformances
12. Support corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives
Health, Safety & Risk Management
13. Promote a strong Safety First culture across transport operations
14. Support incident investigations and implement corrective actions
15. Identify and mitigate risks to protect the operator licence and business
Systems & Data Management
16. Maintain and update compliance systems (fleet, tachograph, telematics)
17. Produce reports to support operational decision-making
18. Ensure data accuracy and compliance with GDPR requirements
Stakeholder Collaboration
19. Work closely with transport, sortation, and final mile teams
20. Liaise with external providers including maintenance suppliers and auditors
21. Provide guidance and coaching to managers and drivers on compliance best practice
What We’re Looking For
22. Experience in a transport or logistics compliance role (parcel/distribution desirable)
23. Strong knowledge of DVSA regulations and Operator Licence requirements
24. Understanding of tachograph legislation, driver hours, and WTD rules
25. High attention to detail with strong organisational skills
26. Experience using fleet, compliance, or transport management systems
27. Strong communication skills with the confidence to challenge and influence
