Are you ready to lead transformative change in research support? The University of Warwick Library is seeking a visionary Research Data Manager to drive the development of our research data management services.
This is a unique opportunity to lead and enhance a high-impact research data management service. Drawing on your strong background in the field, you’ll bring both strategic insight and practical expertise to support and advance the University’s research excellence.
Responsibilities
* Lead development and delivery of the University’s research data management services, aligning with library strategy and research community needs.
* Collaborate with senior academic and professional colleagues to develop strategies and standards for data management and governance.
* Line manage and support the research data management team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, professional development, and high performance.
* Ensure compliance with evolving data standards and policy requirements; promote data quality, reuse, and stewardship across research projects.
* Work with researchers to provide data management planning, data lifecycle guidance, and repository services.
* Contribute to broader research support initiatives within the library and university-wide research ecosystem.
* Support Warwick’s research community in achieving excellence and innovation in data management.
Qualifications
* Significant experience in research data management, data governance, or a related field.
* Proven strategic and operational leadership, with experience managing teams and delivering complex services.
* Strong knowledge of data standards, metadata, data sharing, data preservation, and related policies.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills across academic and professional communities.
* Ability to prioritise, organise, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-moving environment.
* Relevant postgraduate qualification or equivalent professional experience.
