Health Care Assistant - We are looking for Night staff including candidates who are looking for a Bank position on both days/nights.

Medication and Breakfast Care Assistant - We are also looking for Care Assistants to support with administering medication to our residents. The shifts would be 8am - 11am - We are looking for 2 candidates to cover 7 days a week.

Starting from £12.50 per hour

Healthcare Assistants - Nights / Bank Staff.

We are looking for Care Assistants with a passion and enthusiasm to work with the elderly and who would like to join our team and become a part of the family in our home.

Under the leadership and guidance of our Managers and Senior Carers, you'll play an essential role in our resident's lives; they need your assistance with personal care, dietary requirements, socialising and comfort. You'll be making a difference to someone's quality of life every day, our resident's smiles are magical.

Who we're looking for…

Candidates who wish to embark or enhance on their career in Dementia care and those who are keen to work towards their NVQ2 in Health and Social Care.

We are also seeking candidates who are confident with IT systems, such as PCS and Atlas which supports with effective care documentation. Great communicative skills, proactive thinking in an ever-changing environment, keen eye for detail, an open approach to continuous learning and working as part of a team. Furthermore, previous training or a keen enthusiasm to work towards medication training is desirable.

Medication and Breakfast Care Assistant

This is a new role for Woodside Lodge. Further information will be provided on the interview, please note this position does include weekends.

Who we're looking for…

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Medication and Breakfast aide to join our team at Woodside Lodge. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring that residents receive their medications safely and effectively, contributing to their overall well-being. You will be working with the medication lead to ensure that medications on a morning round meets the requirements in terms of time sensitive. This means ensuring residents also receive their breakfasts in the appropriate time frame.

Responsibilities

* Administer medications to residents as per prescribed care plans.
* Monitor residents for any side effects or adverse reactions to medications.
* Maintain accurate records of medication administration and resident health status.
* Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals regarding medication needs where required.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations regarding medication handling.
* To ensure all documentation is completed using our PCS system.
* To support the residents with their breakfasts including supporting those that require additional support with maintaining their diet and fluids, documenting and raising any concerns.
* To support with cleaning down the dining room after breakfast
* To be a champion lead in encouraging and promoting fluids.
* To also support our residents independence daily, this does include supporting them with continence care, behavioural support and therapeutic activities.

Requirements

* Previous experience in a care home or healthcare setting is preferred.
* Understanding of care plans and medication administration protocols.
* Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
* Basic IT skills for record-keeping purposes.
* Must be over 18 years old.
* Must have prior medication training or be willing to undertake the necessary training to carry out this role.
* 2 satisfactory references and completion of a Disclosure and Barring Service Check is required.
