This site is a probation centre, meaning you'll regularly interact with ex‑offenders and probation staff. * Welcome and assist staff, visitors, and contractors while ensuring strict adherence to security protocols.
* Maintain a safe and secure environment for all building users.
* Monitor CCTV, Access Control, and other security systems to detect and prevent security threats.
* Act as the first line of response to security incidents, system activations, and fault reports.
* Handle calls, relay messages, and provide clear guidance to staff and visitors.
* Conduct regular security patrols to ensure ongoing safety and compliance. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage professionally with staff, visitors, and local authorities.
* Must be 18 or older and hold a valid SIA License.
* Excellent communication and situational awareness.
* Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
* Knowledge of security procedures and emergency response protocols.
* Due to the nature of the site, a full DBS clearance is required.
* Please note - age restriction applies for this position, so candidates must be over the age of 18+ and have a valid in date SIA license.
* 54 hours per week
* Shift pattern/ hours Monday - Thursday 07.00-18.00 / Friday 07.00-17.00
* £13.70 per hour
* Access to own vehicle / hold a valid driver's licence is a must due to the rural location of the site.
