Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Night Support Worker, you will be part of our Lancashire Young People Supported Accommodation services, assisting 18 young people (aged 16-21) at two locations: Parker House and The Bridge in Chorley. These young individuals may be facing homelessness, leaving care, or are at risk.
Your presence will provide essential security, peace of mind, and companionship during the night hours. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people, and we expect all staff to share this commitment.
In this role, you will:
* Be awake and attentive throughout your shift.
* Ensure the safety and welfare of each young person, seeking police support when necessary.
* Offer empathy and compassion during challenging night-time hours.
* Maintain accurate records using a computer.
* Follow the Missing Persons procedure when required.
* Communicate effectively with out-of-office support, including The On Call team.
* Answer phone calls professionally, taking messages and responding to inquiries.
* Serve as a positive role model for both colleagues and residents.
