Regional Underwriting Manager - Property
Salary: Circa £100,000
This is a great job for someone who is an experienced Property Underwriter with strong technical expertise and is ready to step into (or continue in) a regional leadership role. You'll enjoy shaping underwriting strategy, solving complex problems, and developing people, while working closely with brokers and senior stakeholders to drive profitable growth.
A bit about the job:
As a Regional Underwriting Manager - Property, you'll be responsible for creating and delivering the region's Commercial Property business plan, ensuring strong portfolio performance and sustainable growth. You'll act as a technical subject matter expert, supporting the underwriting teams with complex referrals and non-standard solutions. You'll play a key role in developing underwriting capability through coaching, mentoring and quality oversight, while working closely with senior stakeholders to respond to market opportunities and emerging risks.
Skills and experience we're looking for:
* Proven experience in Property Underwriting, including managing complex and non-standard risks
* Previous experience leading, coaching or mentoring underwriting teams or individuals
* Strong portfolio management capability with a focus on profitability and retention
* Ability to build and maintain effective broker and market relationships
* Good understanding of the insurance regulatory environment and underwriting governance

* Salary Circa £100,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
