Main Duties And Responsibilities
* Manage all commercial aspects of contracts, from tender through to final account.
* Prepare, monitor, and control project budgets, forecasts, and cashflows.
* Lead the preparation and submission of valuations, variations, and claims.
* Administer contracts ensuring compliance with terms.
* Provide accurate and timely commercial reports to senior management and clients.
* Negotiate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to secure favourable terms.
* Manage subcontractor procurement, payments, and performance evaluation.
* Support compliance with housing regulations, health & safety, and sustainability standards.
* Work collaboratively with operations, design, and client teams to achieve successful project delivery.
Qualifications And Experience
Required Qualifications
* Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field (RICS accreditation preferred).
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor (maintenance, refurbishment, or new build) preferably in Education sector.
* Strong knowledge of NEC Forms of Contracts.
* Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
* High level of financial and commercial awareness.
* Strong IT skills, including cost management software and MS Office.
* Ability to lead teams and mentor junior staff.
* Valid CSR Card or formal Health and Safety Training.
* Full UK Driving License.
* 5 years experience in construction industry.

* As the majority of the work will be conducted in Public Sector or Housing Associations, a recent Access NI certificate is required; CTS will perform an Access NI check as part of the onboarding process.
