Join as a Band 5 Staff Nurse for a 12‑month fixed‑term position. The service operates from 8 am to 8 pm, seven days a week, offering flexibility in working hours. An additional team of nurses and HCAs provides a robust, reactive evening and night nursing team.
Job Responsibilities
* Provide skilled nursing care and support the team to deliver high‑quality integrated care.
* Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be adaptable, reliable, resourceful and approachable.
* Deliver integrated care following a holistic assessment to enable patients to be cared for at home and in clinic settings.
* Facilitate the prevention of unnecessary hospital admission or readmission by reducing the effects of ill health and disability and maximizing the individual’s potential for independence.
* Assume responsibility for safe monitoring, management and administration of medication.
* Work autonomously, building leadership skills and advanced clinical assessment skills.
* Build effective relationships with patients, their carers, family and colleagues across the MDT.
* Develop exceptional planning and organisational skills.
* Analyse care and treatment provided, and develop sound clinical decision making.
* Be trained to deliver high‑quality care, including palliative care, leg‑ulcer management, acute and chronic wound care, bladder and bowel dysfunction and supportive care to carers and family members.
* Delegate and support junior staff, building leadership skills.
* Participate in a robust induction and competency‑based development package.

Qualifications
* Professional qualification – Registered General Nurse to degree level or equivalent.
* Maintain current registration with the NMC.
* Demonstrate continued professional development to maintain registration.
Experience
* Satisfactory clinical expertise for the banding.
* Specialist and area‑specific experience.
Skills
* Ability to work as part of a team.
* Ability to be flexible and handle conflict issues.
* Strong assessment, intervention and evaluation skills in nursing care.

Job Details
Salary: £32,073 to £39,043 per annum (pro‑rata for part‑time).
Contract: Fixed term – 12 months.
Working pattern: Part‑time.
