Position Description
Position Summary
This position will serve in creating and promoting important financial updates, announcements, and financial wellness workshop information using SFS & Falcon Exchange social media accounts.
Also, this position with help provide additional assistance by working the front desk in the SFS office lobby and assist in answering student financial service emails. The ideal candidate for this position will possess excellent customer service skills, be professional at all times, is a good communicator, have at least basic accounting or mathematic knowledge, be accurate, creative, and detailed-orientated, and possess good critical thinking skills. The candidate will help to ensure confidentiality of student financial records.
Major Preferred
Business, Communication, Psychology, Accounting or Finance Majors.
Experience Required
Experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and Social Media platforms.
Experience Preferred
Experience working with Banner or a similar Student Financial computer system.
Deeper knowledge of Excel.
Experience/ability in editing webpages.
Skills, Characteristics Required for Position
Must be able to strictly maintain confidentiality of financial and all other sensitive information.
Must be versatile in working with variety of people from various populations.
Must be attentive to details. Accuracy is important for this position.
Must have at least basic accounting or mathematical knowledge.
Applicant must be professional in their personal demeanor and have excellent customer service skills.

This position will be located in the Student Financial Services Office, located in the new Kim Phipps Admission Welcome Center on the 3rd floor.

Primary Duties
1. Assist in the SFS front office lobby in providing customer services and in properly directing and supporting student questions or concerns.
2. Manage and promote important financial announcements and information using Student Financial Services social media account.
3. Assist with non-current student billing.
4. Assist with answering Student Financial Service emails.
5. Create financial wellness workshops flyers to promote SFS events to various offices across campus each semester.
6. Assist in collecting data and information to build out the Financial Wellness Webpage resources on SFS webpage.
7. Assist in editing both the Student Financial Services and Falcon Exchange websites.
8. Assist Student Financial Services staff with Aging Reports.
9. Maintain consistent and reliable attendance.
Secondary Duties
1. Answering telephone calls.
2. Assist in specific projects to promote services offered by Student Financial Service Office.
3. Assist Student Financial Services staff members with task or special projects.
4. Collaborate with Financial Aid staff in assisting reaching out to student with outstanding financial aid requirements.
5. Other duties as assigned.
