The Eltham College Family of Schools — including Eltham College, Eltham College Junior School and Blackheath Prep — is a high-performing, values-led organisation, recently named London Independent School of the Year 2024 by The Sunday Times.
This is a newly created, pivotal role.
Reporting to the Bursar, you’ll lead finance across the group—providing both strategic direction and hands-on leadership at a time of real change:
• New finance system implementation
• Restructuring of the finance function
• Opportunity to modernise processes, controls and reporting
• Strong engagement from senior stakeholders
This is a build and shape opportunity.
You’ll oversee financial planning, reporting and governance across all schools, supporting key decisions around investment, estates and long-term sustainability, while ensuring operational excellence.
We’re looking for a qualified accountant who brings:
• Experience in complex or multi-entity environments
• A track record of improving systems and processes
• Strong stakeholder management skills
• A hands-on, proactive approach with the ability to lead through change
Sector experience is helpful but not essential.
