What you'll be doing
You will respond professionally and efficiently to hotel enquiries and contribute to a positive sales environment where hotel revenues are maximised. Ensuring all bookings are processed in Hotel Reservations System OPERA and confirmed with the client according to company standards.
The role includes dealing with incoming bedroom reservation enquiries via telephone, email and other online channels in an efficient and timely manner. Inputting and updating reservations to record guest preferences, booking amendments and cancellations. Ensuring all booking information is accurate.
The role holder will be expected to keep up to date knowledge of hotel facilities, room types, rates and information as well as knowing the selling status and benefits of all packages plans.
The role involves dealing with travel agent bookings, vouchers and credit requests, ensuring that the hotel's policy is adhered to at all times as well as ensuring advance deposits are taken and follow up any declined or not guaranteed bookings.
The role holder will be responsible for group booking enquiries and will quote in line with the strategy for the year.
The successful candidate will prepare back up for reservations and communicate on a daily basis with the wide Hotel team to ensure information is shared accurately and in a timely manner
