The Role
As a Floor Manager, you will ensure the smooth running of studio floor operations, being the link between gallery crew and presenters, and safely managing guests. You are responsible for keeping the studio safe and tidy for those who work there, as well as visitors. You will also operate the Cuescript prompt system for presenters, updating scripts as required.
This role will primarily entail shift working across ITV News programmes. There may also be opportunities to work across some of ITN’s other output.
You will occasionally be required to carry out those same functions on remote presentations as part of an Outside Broadcast team for special events coverage.
Away from studio operations, you are responsible for reporting music used within ITV News, ITV London and Channel 4 via the Orfium system.
Experience of working on a studio floor is preferred and specific training will be given.
We are expecting interviews to take place week beginning 7th April 2026.
Key Responsibilities
* To relay directions and instructions from the Director in the gallery
* To oversee the studio floor, ensuring that health and safety rules are observed (such as tidy cables, trip hazards, no drinks etc.), especially briefing studio guests who are unfamiliar with the environment.
* To escort guests to the studio ahead of broadcast and prep them for their live
* To make sure the needs of guests such as wheelchair users or guests with guide dogs are appropriately met, whilst following Health & Safety guidelines.
* If required, to move and frame cameras as directed
* To load, run and update Cuescript prompting system
* To log all music used accurately via the Orfium system
