Teaching Personnel are working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school committed to providing every child with the support they need to reach their full potential, based in Stoke-on-Trent. They are currently seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic 1-1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with additional needs starting in January. This is a great opportunity for an individual with SEN experience who is wanting to gain further experience within a classroom environment. Your role: Provide tailored 1-1 support to a pupil with Special Educational Needs, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve targets Work collaboratively with the Class Teacher, SENCO and external agencies to implement individualised education plans (IEPs) and various support strategies Create a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment Monitor and record progress, providing feedback to staff and parents when necessary What we’re looking for: Experience working with children with SEN (experience with ASD and ADHD is desirable) Calm, patient and resilient Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification desirable but not essential If you’re interested in this position, please apply with your CV and a consultant will be in contact within 2 working days.
