Control System Engineer – Poynton * Salary: Up to £60 k depending on experience * Site work allowance: £65–£100 per day * Contract: Permanent, full‑time (40 hours per week) We’re a family‑run manufacturer in Stockport that started life over thirty years ago, since then, we’ve grown into a leading specialist producing pressurised manifold depositing systems for light, aerated and delicate masses, plus bespoke production lines for chilled foods. We’re now looking for a Control System Engineer to join our expanding team. What You’ll Be Doing * Support and update existing machine designs alongside a supportive controls engineering team. * Program PLCs (ideally using Rockwell RSLogix 5000 or a similar platform), HMI and motion control systems. * Design electrical systems with tools such as EPLAN and AutoCAD; assemble and test control panels, including backplate layout, trunking, cable labelling and wiring. * Gain additional skills through in‑house training. * Travel worldwide for up to two weeks at a time to oversee installation of new machines.
