Job Reference: ESX17073SL1 About the Employer I am a 67 year old gentleman who suffers with depression and finds it difficult to focus and concentrate; although I am physically active and able bodied. I am on the ECC Personal Budget scheme, and ECC have approved 7 hours per week support. My current PA is having to cut back her hours from 7 to 5 per week for health reasons, hence I need to find another PA to cover the remaining 2 hours. May also occasionally need to do extra hours if my other PA is ill. About the Role Duties and Responsibilities • Assist and encourage socialisation, participating in activities. • Promote and encourage friendships and independence. • Develop a good and trusting one to one working relationship. PA required to support & encourage me in my daily activities & help me focus and prioritise my tasks. Having someone with me, providing moral support improves my ability to concentrate enormously. Also helping with household tasks (see below).> The individuals needs may vary from day to day and your tasks may reflect this. You could be required to perform other duties as reasonably required. You have a responsibility as an employee to report all accidents to the employer immediately. You have a duty to report defects and / or hazards which may give rise to an accident. You are to ensure the safety of the individual at all times. Due to the nature of the work for which you are applying, this post is subject to a satisfactory DBS disclosure (costs will be covered). Transport Requirement Car driver and car owner – must have business insurance. Because I also suffer from SAD, I often sit outdoors even in cold weather, which means my carer sometimes does the above tasks in my flat while I am outside.
