SHEQ Assistant Pay: £12.00 - £15.00 p/h PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES : To assist to achieve 100% compliance with Monoworld policies and procedures along with all relevant legislation. To help develo p and implem ent Health & Safety Improvement Plans. Assist in the Coo rdination of all Health and Safety matters as assigned by the Compliance Direct or. Carry out weekly SHEQ FIFI (Find it F ix it audits) and send the report s of findings. Act as focal point for reporting, communication, tracking of all defect reports and SHEQ improvement actions. Implementing and facilitating t raining programmes a nd site H&S inductions for new star ters, visitors a nd c ontractors. To assist in creat ing and deliver ing Toolbox talks tailored to the local business needs. Assist in providing guidance a nd support to operations staff fo r SO P, S SOW, Risk Assessments, incident investigations and compliance issues. To record and analyse incidents and SHEQ performance, reporting KPIs and communicating performance effectivel y as required. Includ ing accident / incident statistics, NCR s an d complaints. Effective RCA to be used to create permanent / continuous improvements. Assist in the Chairing of monthly H&S meetings. 4. KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS Hold a IOSH Certificate or willing to acquire as a minimum and work towards acquiring a NEBOSH Certification. Hold a WAMITAB level 4 qualification or be willing to acquire. Demonstrate a positive track record attained over a m inimum of 3 years Experience in a manufacturing environment in either an Admin or Assistan t role. Be PC Literate, with strong /advanced skills wi thin Word & Excel, plus a wor king knowledge of Powerpoint. Possess tact and diplomacy, good team work ing skills and be a ble to help and guide colleagues. Be a ble to problem solve and demonstrate creative thinking. Have s trong communication skills, including the ability to organise and hold effe ctive meetings. Be self-motivated, with g ood time management and organisation skills 5. S PECIFIC TASKS : Provide support and assistance to the Compliance and Operations Directors. Assist in the planni ng, organisation, execution, mon itoring and auditing of all SHEQ aspects. Help to e ncourage a cultural shift from reactive to proactive and from dependen t to independent, to change mind -sets and behaviours, thereby eradicating unsafe acts and conditions in the workpl ace as far as is practicable, towards achievement of zero harm RFT operations. Assist in the review ing of all SOP s and S SOW s Bi-annually or post incident / escape. Ensure that all Group Policy Documents are c ommun icated, and adequately disseminated. Help with Monthly SHE Q meetings A ssist in maintain ing visual management covering SHEQ performance. Display KPI s Arrange and be focal point for all SHEQ related training Ensure the training matrix is always up to date and refresher training carried out every 2 years or as required. Provide aspects of training/ briefi ngs w ithin own competence. Help to p roduce and deliver site toolbox talks. Assist with all internal and external audits. Undertake all H& S inductions at site, for new starters, visitors and contractors. Issuing PTW s. Act as focal point for reporting, comm unica tion, tracking of all d efect reports and SHEQ improvement actions. Maintain a ccura te, secure and fully tr aceable records for all SHEQ matters. Ensure that recommendations arising from all lea r ning opportunities are acted upon appropr iately and recorded on the training matrix. Ensure all contractors have completed the Contractor Code Of Conduct Form and they have relevant insurance. Ensure that all RAMS when required are produced by contractors prior to the commencement of work Ensure all equipment is calibrated and managed in line with ISO requirements
