Job Description:
Oaklands Global is currently supporting an established aviation services provider is seeking an experienced Senior Powerplant Engineer to join their Fleet Management Team. This technical role involves managing multiple commercial engine projects for airline and lessor clients, supporting the full engine lifecycle from planning and health monitoring to shop visit oversight and contract negotiation.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as virtual powerplant manager for clients
* Forecast maintenance costs and optimise engine removals
* Manage engine shop visits (workscope, inspection, materials, post-visit review)
* Negotiate with OEMs/MROs and review engine contracts
* Support engine transitions, inspections, and documentation
* Mentor junior engineers and support business development
* Represent the company at OEM technical conferences
Requirements
* 10+ years’ experience in powerplant roles
* Strong technical knowledge (CFM, P&W, GE, IAE, RR engines)
* Commercial and financial acumen
* Project management and MS Office proficiency
* Must be eligible to work in the UK
