The Role
As Lead Teacher of Business Studies, you will play a key role in shaping the strategic direction of the department, raising attainment, and ensuring students achieve exceptional outcomes. You will lead by example through outstanding classroom practice and support colleagues to deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that inspire a love of learning.
You will be responsible for:
* Leading and developing the Business Studies curriculum across Key Stages
* Raising standards of teaching, learning and student achievement
* Monitoring and tracking student progress and implementing effective intervention strategies
* Supporting, coaching and developing teaching staff within the department
* Driving curriculum innovation and ensuring schemes of work are ambitious and inclusive
* Managing assessment, moderation and reporting processes within the subject area
* Promoting high expectations, excellent behaviour and a culture of academic success
* Contributing to whole-school improvement strategies and curriculum enrichment opportunities
* Building positive relationships with parents, staff and external stakeholders
* Championing safeguarding and student wellbeing across the school community
